Anyone old enough to remember these scenes from a Tram journey through Sheffield back in the day in 1902?

I would be interested to know what you would think about reopening the Great central line from Sheffield to London, rather than HS2, it will cost a 10th of the price and stop at the Victoria station.?
When I look at the video of the tram network, it makes me think we have gone backwards as a society in many areas. There would have been little need to use a car if you lived and worked in Sheffield, because I know the trams ran out to Handsworth and were as regular as clock work. Sheffield looks like it is buzzing.
