When they tore down the Berlin Wall did they bring it to Lakeland Drive?
Apparently all this is to stop quad bikes and 4×4’s from trespassing onto the fields, not sure about this myself as they usually come on from the North Anston end near the woods in my experience.
What the kids are most in need of around here are youth clubs in Dinnington and Anston. My mantra is that RMBC needs to be scrapped and we need to go back to the districts that existed before 1975, where costs in real terms were much lower and services much higher. Dinnington and Anston need to get together and slay the borough dragon, like we did with the housing proposals.
The housing is coming back in March and August so not sure we’ve slayed it yet!
Amazing isn’t it? The farmer says he wants to protect his land from quad bikes and 4 x 4’s, fair point however the same farmer had no qualms about allowing heavy construction equipment on his land when he thought he was going to receive a truckload of cash from a housing developer.
The wall of earth he created is illegal. This or any other barrier is supposed to be 3 feet from the inner edge of the footpath but don’t expect any action from Burton or Dalton because they voted in favour of the housing development at a council meeting in Rotherham in spite of their protestations to the contrary at the meeting of Anston Parish Council when housebuilding in Anston was raised by me and several other parishioners.
Independent borough councillor Clive Jepson is the only councillor to raise the matter of the earth barrier with RMBC. Neither of us will hold our breaths waiting for a sensible response from the people who (allegedly) ‘represent your interests’.
Time For Change.
Perhaps you should check what is the inner and outer of the pavement, check with the counciler who is arguing on your behalf, or everyone in the country my have to move there boundaries.
People like to protect there property 🙂
When I was growing up trenches and banks provided a good wild life barrier around anston for newts etc
As I’ve said below, the issues here are that it’s an eyesore, an obstruction to footpaths used by the public and muck is being spread over the pavement.
find it sad that that a bank got you all going to much time on your hands i think dont think cllr jepson can help to busy looking at lamp posts give stjhon a ring best man bye far
The issue here is that it’s an eyesore and muck is being spread all over the pavement. It’s also obstructing access to foot paths people have used for decades.
I’d be happy for all local Councillors to get involved to try and sort it out, access to the countryside is an important issue.
ther is no public foot paths on that land onley what the public have made ther self in time the bank will grass up i feel there are other things cllrs need to deal with at this time
All public footpaths and bridleways started out like that, a campaign is underway to get the local paths registered before houses are built all over them and access lost. We applied for 6 last year and will be looking at a few more this year.
