UKIP Hit the Streets in Anston

UKIP are starting as they mean to go on with a door knocking and leafletting campaign in Anston. Not seen anything from the other candidates as yet.

A strong stance on immigration linking to building on the greenbelt is going to be quite a persuasive argument for years to come.

I realise that UKIP isn’t perfect, but compared with the current Labour candidate, its a no brainer. People don’t realise, that the greatest threat to building on green belt, is mass immigration and flight out of cities. Two Independents to one Labour will make a massive difference on the Parish council. Imagine this swing across the Borough. Cheers Tim

I realise UKIP aren’t Independent, but if we get the promised Swiss style binding referendums, that would totally change British politics. Bernard is a self made man and isn’t going to encourage welfare dependency. Rotherham has a half a billion pound debt, something drastic has to change.

Mr Froggett (UKIP) is a hard working local man born and bread in Anston, with a local business

Jo Burton (labour) votes to build on our Green belt, sneaks photo ops on the back of community volunteers, puts out misleading Election Leaflets ( which is against he Law). Tells Anston Residents she is against the closure of Sure Start at Ryton Road, then goes to RMBC and votes to close them.
Its all about Honesty and creditability .
Who would you vote for ?? no contest.

Half a billion pound debt just says it all about Rotherham Labour. Kiveton rural district had no debt, a positive bank balance in 1975 and decent services. I believe in a minimum wage of £10 a hour for anybody over 21, but at the same time I don’t believe the state should subsidise people’s living standards through welfare. Welfare should only be there to help the truly disabled and those who are going through a short term crisis. Partly disabled people can contribute to society in a limited capacity and we should have such work place schemes in place to help them.

    For p Ball
I can assure you that I am truly Independent. Yes I was delivering Leaflets with UKIP. However I was actually delivering the leaflets for CHARITY. I was delivering in return for a sum of money to be donated to Charity. I am happy to deliver leaflets for the Labour Party if they wish, the going rate of a donation for them will be £100. To be truly Independent any other Party, Tory or Lib Dem, may also request my delivery services if they wish.
With regard to “moonshine” (still wont come out of the closet) I did not hear him/her making any noises when I volunteered to collect litter for the Community, at an event that was a Labour Party propaganda stunt for Jo Burtons Election Campaign. That was the litter pick that I and other Community minded people collected loads of bags of rubbish, only for Jo Burton to sneak back after we had gone, to have her Photograph taken (presumably by Judy Dalton). This photo with Jo Burton posing in front of all the black bags WE had collected, subsequently ended up in the Advertiser. HOW LOW CAN YOU GO.
I stood as an Independent, I will always be Independent, and I will continue to fight for what is right for the people of Anston. I am beholden to no Political Party, unlike those Members of the Labour Party who tell us one thing at a Parish Council Meeting, and then run off to RMBC and vote to close the Sure Start Centres.

I have just found out that any candidate can’t spend more than £1100 on the campaign. I think we should watch how much Labour spend on this election, if they start doing mail shots to very household, they are breaking the rules and would lose their right to stand in the election.
